The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and Airbus International discussed the possibility of supplying helicopters from Airbus Helicopters to Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
On February 23, a meeting with representatives of Airbus International was held at the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.
During the talks between Deputy Transport Minister Zhasurbek Choriev and Airbus International Vice President for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Jacques Garrigue, the current state and perspective plans of cooperation with the French company were discussed.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport, the parties exchanged views on the possibility of purchasing helicopters from Airbus Helicopters, establishing air communication in this direction, in order to become a leading participant in the market of the Central Asian region.
In addition, the parties discussed the issues of studying the experience of foreign countries in operating helicopters and conducting trainings for pilots in the development of this direction.
Also, representatives of Airbus International expressed their proposals for establishing cooperation in the field of airport management. During the meeting, the French side also announced plans for the visit of the French Minister of Trade to Uzbekistan in May this year.
