Russia and Azerbaijan implemented several big projects in the field of transport in 2021, the Russian Ministry of Economy told Trend.
According to the ministry, the sides opened a joint plant of GAZ Group and Azermash in Azerbaijan to produce commercial and special purpose vehicles in April 2021.
“Some 100 hopper cars and 20 railcars for the Baku Metro were supplied to Azerbaijan,” the ministry said. “Moreover, the foundation for a joint KAMAZ service center with the Russian share was laid in October 2021.”
The ministry said that the work on flagship projects is underway.
“The work is being constantly conducted to create a helicopter service center (Russian Helicopters JSC), produce NOVA-340 combine harvesters (Rostselmash company) and implement an investment project to create the R-Pharm first modern pharmaceutical enterprise,” the ministry added.
