Kazakhstan’s Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Magzum Mirzagaliyev signed a memorandum on cooperation in the area of geology with the Russian Minister of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov, Trend reports citing Kazakh ministry.
In accordance with the agreement, the parties are planning to expand cooperation in the field of mineral resources, regional geology, and the compilation of geological maps.
In addition, the interaction will be established between public and private organizations and companies of the two countries in the field of geology.
At the same time, the parties are also planning to promote geological and geophysical research for prospecting and evaluation of deposits of various types of minerals, including groundwater, development of cooperation in the field of geological surveying of various scales, geochemical and geophysical research methods in order to discover deposits of mineral raw materials.
Mirzagaliyev noted that memorandum signing will give vast opportunities to develop the geology of both Russia and Kazakhstan, and will promote the establishment of long-term relationships between geological companies of both parties.
