ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 7. The Chinese company Bass Medical Group plans to build a plant for the production of medical equipment in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
The plan was discussed at the meeting of the Director of the Department for Attracting Investments and Marketing of National Company Kazakh Investments, Nurzhan Abilkhayir, with the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Bass Medical Group, Wang Jue.
The plant's products are planned to be sold on the local market as well as exported to the countries of the EAEU and Central Asia.
The representative of the Chinese company noted that it is planned to invest more than $50 million at the first stage of the project. According to him, Kazakhstan is a promising market for the localization of production. In the future, the company will conduct training sessions for local employees on a regular basis.
In turn, Nurzhan Abilkhayir noted that the state, given the policy of import substitution, is interested in localizing production on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. So, in recent years, a number of large medical companies have already announced their readiness to open production facilities in the country.
