ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 23. Lenovo has expressed interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of server equipment and data storage systems, Trend reports.
This was stated during a meeting between the Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan Iran Sharkhan and the Lenovo delegation led by Regional Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa Di Filippo Giovanni.
For its part, the ministry confirmed its readiness to provide support at all stages of cooperation.
The parties reviewed the prospects for Kazakhstan and Lenovo collaboration in general, including the possibility of integrating technological and server technologies into the Kazakh market.
Three important areas of the company's activities were specifically discussed: end devices, a collection of infrastructure solutions, and a service division.
Data centers specializing in artificial intelligence will be created in Kazakhstan, according to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
"Advanced IT infrastructure is the foundation for the future advancement of the digital industry, particularly artificial intelligence." As a result, it should be developed ahead of the needs of IT developers. "I direct the government to ensure the construction of artificial intelligence-focused data centers within two years," he stated.
