ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 24. The Scientific and Technical Center of QazaqGaz (the national company of Kazakhstan) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with PetroChina Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development (RIPED) in Beijing on November 23, 2023, Trend reports.
The document was signed by Saule Samekina, Deputy General Director for Analytics and Training of QazaqGaz STC LLP, and Li Yong, Deputy General Director of PetroChina Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development.
One of the main areas of cooperation between QazaqGaz STC and RIPED is the development of design, engineering, research, and development work, as well as technical standards in the gas sector.
RIPED representatives identified exploration and development of deep and ultra-deep gas deposits; exploration and development of shale gas, tight gas, coalbed methane, and syngas; technology and equipment for fracking; gas production; geological and hydrodynamic modeling; and experimental methods for studying core samples and fluids as priority areas of interaction.
As Saule Samekina noted, the key point in interaction will be the development of innovative technologies in the field of green energy and the implementation of investment projects in the field of green hydrogen in Kazakhstan with the participation of domestic and foreign investors, specialized foreign organizations, and investment funds.
In addition, it was noted that special attention will be paid to solving production problems, taking into account 3D modeling and 3D printing of equipment and spare parts.
The parties are planning to sign a road map in December.
