ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 26. Kazakhstan has produced 6,400 combine harvesters and tractors in 2023, which is 20 percent more than in 2022, said Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, Trend reports.
He made the remark during a visit to the localization center in the Kostanay region, Agromash Holding KZ, which assembles agricultural machinery and produces components and spare parts.
As Alikhan Smailov noted, currently, agricultural engineering is showing high growth dynamics.
"We need to maintain this momentum and increase production. In this sense, the work of such a localization center is very important in order to increase local content, create jobs, and provide employment to small and medium-sized companies in the region," the PM noted.
Moreover, Agromash Holding KZ can produce 1,000 combine harvesters, 3,000 tractors, about 300 seeders, and 200 pick-up platforms per year. In particular, last year, over 1,200 tractors and combine harvesters were delivered to Kazakh farmers.
Meanwhile, 12,961 units of vehicles were produced in Kazakhstan in November 2023, with a total value of 162.1 billion tenge (about $352.7). This is 15.6 percent more than the same period in 2022 (11,216 units and 132.2 billion tenge, or about $287 million).
At the same time, in total, based on the results of eleven months, 136,909 units of vehicles of all types were produced in Kazakhstan worth over 1.65 trillion tenge (about $3.6 billion), which is 37.4 percent more than in the same period in 2022.
