Primary housing prices continue to rise in Kazakhstan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 9. Housing prices in Kazakhstan's primary market grew by 2.2 percent in June 2024 compared to June 2023, Trend reports.

As the country's Bureau of National Statistics notes, secondary market apartment prices rose by 1 percent during the same period.

Furthermore, the rent for comfortable housing in June 2024 has risen by 5.2 percent from the same month last year.

Regionally, primary housing prices in annual terms increased significantly in the cities of Aktobe by 9.5 percent, Taldykorgan by 7.2 percent, and Kyzylorda by 7.1 percent.

While Taldykorgan (28.1 percent), Karaganda (24.6 percent), Zhezkazgan (22.6 percent), and Petropavlovsk (22.5 percent) led price rises in the rental housing market, Atyrau (14.1 percent) and Astana (6 percent) led price increases in the secondary housing market.

At the same time, over the month (June 2024 compared to May 2024), prices for the resale of apartments increased by 0.6 percent, and prices for the sale of new housing increased by 0.4 percent. Rents for comfortable housing in June rose by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month.
