KazMunayGas, Rosneft Deutschland discuss supply of Kazakh oil to Germany

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 23. KazMunayGas (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company) and Rosneft Deutschland have discussed the supply of Kazakh oil to Germany, Trend reports.

Discussions on this topic took place between the Chairman of the Board of KMG, Askhat Khassenov, and Managing Director of Rosneft Deutschland Johannes Bremer.

The parties noted that by the end of 2023, 993,000 tons of oil were transported from Kazakhstan along this route. The prospects for continuing supplies for the coming period were also discussed at the meeting.

Khassenov expressed gratitude to the German side for the fruitful cooperation and indicated KMG’s readiness to develop a partnership with Rosneft Deutschland.

To note, in 2024, KazTransOil JSC plans to ship up to 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil via the trunk oil pipeline system of Transneft PJSC towards the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point for delivery to Germany.

Earlier, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Almassadam Satkaliev said that in 2023, the oil production in the country amounted to about 90 million tons, although it was initially planned to produce 92–93 million tons of oil.

Moreover, the country plans to increase oil production in 2024 to 90.3 million tons.
