ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 31. The volume of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exports from Kazakhstan to Türkiye in May 2024 amounted to 11,430 tons, Trend reports.
According to Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), this figure decreased by 57.6 percent compared to the same month in 2023 (26,956 tons).
Kazakhstan's share was 3.65 percent of Türkiye's total LPG imports in May 2024 (321,770 tons).
At the same time, Türkiye's LPG imports from Kazakhstan from January through May amounted to 67,477 tons, which is 32.3 percent less than for the same period in 2023 (99,634 tons).
Meanwhile, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Türkiye amounted to $2.05 billion from January through May 2024, which is 19.5 percent less than for the same period in 2023 ($2.54 billion).
The main share is occupied by exports to Türkiye. Thus, in the first quarter of 2024, the volume of exports to Türkiye amounted to $1.3 billion (for the same period in 2023 - $1.65 billion).
In addition, imports from Türkiye decreased by 15.4 percent compared to the first five months of 2023 and amounted to $755.1 million. From January through May 2023, imports amounted to $893.3 million.
