ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 17. Kazakhstan produced 35.4 billion cubic meters of associated petroleum gas from January through July 2024, Trend reports, citing the country's Bureau of National Statistics.
On this account, the production volume shot through the roof, increasing by a whopping 7.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023. (19.2 million tons).
At the same time, in July 2024 alone, 2.92 billion cubic meters of associated petroleum gas were produced in Kazakhstan, which is 26.9 percent more than in the same month of 2023 (2.3 billion cubic meters).
In addition to this, compared to June 2024 (2.85 billion cubic meters), natural gas production in July increased by 2.7 percent.
In 2023, gas production in Kazakhstan amounted to 59.063 billion cubic meters, including large fields such as Tengiz (16.009 billion cubic meters), Karachaganak (22.385 billion cubic meters), Kashagan (11.856 billion cubic meters), and others (8.813 billion cubic meters).
Kazakhstan is expected to bring in a whopping 60.456 billion cubic meters of raw natural gas in 2024.
