ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 5. The business activity index in Kazakhstan slightly increased to 51.4 in August 2024, Trend reports.
According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the indicator is in the positive zone for the seventh month in a row.
Positive dynamics were noted in all sectors.
The greatest improvement was recorded in the mining industry, where, due to a noticeable increase in the volume of new orders, the index moved into the growth zone, amounting to 52.2 (in July, 49.8).
Other sectors also noted a slight increase in the indicator compared to the previous month. In production, the index rose to 51.8 (from 51.7 in July), in services, to 51.1 (from 51), and in construction, to 50.6 (from 50.4).
According to enterprises, demand for their products and services continues to grow, but the rate of growth has slowed slightly.
In addition, the business climate index has remained unchanged in August. The assessment of current business conditions has slightly decreased, while assessments of future conditions have improved.
