BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Kazakhstan's Shardara Hydroelectric Power Station JSC will repurchase a portion of its outstanding bonds and pay coupon interest to bondholders from August 27 to September 5, 2026.
The corresponding company's notification was published on the Astana International Exchange (AIX).
Shardara HPP will repurchase seven bonds with ISIN KZX000000948 pursuant to Board of Directors Resolution No. 11/21 dated October 29, 2021. Bondholders will be required to submit sell orders to the AIX Registrar during the repurchase period.
The company will also pay 251.27 million tenge (about $544,596) in coupon interest to bondholders.
All payments will be made to holders included in the register of securities holders as of August 27, 2026.
According to Shardara Hydroelectric Power Plant company, the HPP is a run-of-river hydropower facility located in the middle reaches of the Syr Darya River in Kazakhstan. The plant was commissioned between October 10 and 15, 1967, while Shardarinskaya HPP JSC was established on September 22, 1998. The facility has an installed capacity of 126 MW and comprises four generating units.
The plant's average long-term annual electricity generation is 537 million kWh. Its main functions include irrigation, power generation, and flood control.
The enterprise has a workshop-based organizational structure and consists of six workshops, with a staff of 139 employees.
