BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 24. Kyrgyzstan exported 1,485 tons of lead to China from April through May 2024, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the value of these exports amounted to $2.457 million. This is the first time Kyrgyzstan has exported lead to China since 2019, when over 3,300 tons were sent.
In total, Kyrgyzstan exported a total of 3,188 tons of lead abroad from January through May 2024, double the 1,594 tons exported during the same period in 2023. The value of these exports reached $5.742 million, a 92 percent increase compared to $2.983 million in the first five months of last year.
In addition to China, Kyrgyzstan exported 1,683 tons of lead to Türkiye and 19 tons to Russia during the reporting period.
Kyrgyzstan foreign trade turnover amounted to $6.488 billion from January through May 2024, which is an 18.6 percent increase compared to January–May 2023.
Exports totaled $1.046 billion, a 4.8 percent rise from January–May 2023. Imports increased by 21.7 percent year-on-year, reaching $5.442 billion.
