BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 28. The total number of incoming transfers in US dollars through international money transfer systems in Kyrgyzstan reached 160,400 transactions worth $115.1 million from April through June 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s National Bank shows that compared to the same period last year, the number of incoming dollar transfers fell by 18.8 percent, while the total volume increased by 2.2 percent.
Outgoing transfers in dollars amounted to 89,000 transactions totaling $112.2 million, with the number of transfers down 0.6 percent but the volume up 21.5 percent year-on-year.
Meanwhile, total transfers in all currencies reached 2.87 million transactions worth 82 billion soms ($938 million) during the same period.
The number of overall incoming transfers grew 73.1 percent, while the volume rose 61.7 percent. Outgoing transfers in all currencies totaled 134,200 transactions worth 13.6 billion soms ($115.5 million), up 10 percent in number and 34.6 percent in value. Bishkek accounted for the largest share of transactions, with 34.9 percent of incoming and 72.3 percent of outgoing transfers.
