DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 17. Tajikistan's state budget revenue for 2024 amounted to 46.9 billion somoni ($4.3 billion), exceeding the forecast by 1.8 billion somoni ($164.8 million), Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda announced at a meeting on the country's socio-economic development outcomes, Trend reports.
Rasulzoda highlighted that the country's Tax Committee exceeded its collection target by 5.3 percent, raising 20.4 billion somoni ($1.8 billion). The Customs Service also surpassed its target, collecting 6.8 percent more than its planned revenue, or 9.7 billion somoni ($888.5 million).
Additionally, the social insurance and pension revenue component of the budget, funded through social taxes, totaled 3.8 billion somoni ($348 million), which was 9.4 percent higher than the planned amount.
These figures reflect the country's strong fiscal performance in 2024 and the continued growth in tax and customs revenue.
