DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, February 17. Tajikistan's milk production reached 1.177 million tons in 2024, which is a 5.3 percent increase compared to the preceding year.

According to data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Agency of Tajikistan, egg production also saw growth, reaching 1.265 billion eggs, a 3.4 percent rise from 2023.

As of January 1, 2025, the livestock population in all types of farms included 2.789 million head of cattle, which is a 4.8-percent increase over the same period last year. The number of sheep and goats also grew, reaching 7.150 million head, up by 7.4 percent.

The value of agricultural production in Tajikistan reached 73 billion somoni ($6.6 billion) in 2024, increasing by 10.6 percent compared to 2023.

Tajikistan's crop production reached a value of 50.984 billion somoni ($4.6 billion) in 2024, which is a 13.4 percent increase compared to 2023. Meanwhile, livestock production amounted to 22.991 billion somoni ($2.1 billion), which is a 4.8 percent increase compared to the previous year.
