DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, May 10. A total of 130,000 tons of milk was produced in Tajikistan in the period from January through February 2025, a 4.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) shows that over the same period, egg production reached 207.6 million units, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 8.4 percent. Meanwhile, the volume of livestock and poultry meat totaled 35,600 tons — up by 4.7 percent.
According to Tajikistan’s Statistical Agency, the country’s gross agricultural output across all categories of farms amounted to 4.271 billion somoni (approximately $414 million) from January through March 2025, marking a 7.2 percent increase year-on-year.
Regionally, Sughd province accounted for 26.7 percent, Khatlon province for 6.5 percent, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) for 0.1 percent, and districts under republican subordination made up 20.7 percent.
