Turkmenistan reveals capital investments volume in Lebap region for 1H2024

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 25. Capital investments directed to fixed assets in the state part of the economy of the Lebap region of Turkmenistan from January through June this year amounted to 646.7 million Turkmen manat ($184.8 million), Trend reports.

According to the data, during the specified period, the state allocated 211.3 million Turkmen manat ($60.4 million) for industrial facilities.

The volume of state investments in cultural and everyday objects amounted to 435.4 million Turkmen manat ($124.4 million), which is 67.3 percent of the total investment in the Lebap region.

Furthermore, the volume of investments aimed at construction and construction activities increased by 35.5 percent in the first half of this year compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

Meanwhile, recently, the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Serdar Jorayev, stated at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that the volume of investments aimed at developing the country's national economy increased by 20.8 percent year-on-year from January through June this year.

The minister noted that 48.5 percent of the mastered capital investments were allocated to industrial facilities and 51.5 percent to objects in the socio-cultural sphere.
