Turkmenistan's Lebap region unveils total number of farm animals

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 30. All farms in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan currently contain over 561,200 head of cattle, Trend reports.

According to official data, the farms of the region currently also contain over 4.27 million domestic birds and 5,900 heads of camels.

Furthermore, 68,600 tons of meat (in live weight), 306,100 tons of milk, 119 million eggs were produced in all farms of the Lebap region from January through June this year.

Meanwhile, at the moment, a lot of work is being done in Turkmenistan to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacture meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry.

At the same time, Most of the livestock production is accounted for by the private sector in Turkmenistan.
