The export of textile products from January through September accounted for $1.3 billion, which amounted to 10.8 percent of the total export of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The increase in exports of textile products compared to the corresponding period last year amounted to 14.6 percent.
Some 455 types of textile products have been exported to 60 countries of the world since the beginning of the year
The largest volume of textile products in value terms for 9M2020 was exported to Russia - $486.5 million, followed by China - $277.5 million, Kyrgyzstan - $196.5 million and Turkey - $153.4 million, Poland - $32.6 million and Kazakhstan - $30.6 million.
Imports of textiles decreased by $148.3 million for 9M2020, or 8.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
Some 4,806 operating enterprises for the production of textile products in Uzbekistan produced goods worth 23.8 trillion soums ($2.3 billion) from January through September. The physical volume index compared to the same period last year amounted to 11.8 percent.
The largest share in the total volume of products produced by the textile enterprises of Uzbekistan fell on Fergana - 14.8 percent (712 operating textile enterprises), Tashkent region - 10.6 percent (788), Samarkand region - 9.6 percent (359) and Tashkent city - 8.8 percent (388).
