Uzbekistan considers exporting polyethylene products manufactured at the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex to European market through Latvian exchange trade, Trend reports referring to Uzbek media.
The mentioned issue within the visit Latvian the working group headed by the Chairman of the Board of the Latvian company Shipleart LLC Alexander Petrov, who is the founder of this trading platform to the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex in connection with the opening of the first exchange trading platform in the European Union (Latvian Riga), organized by the Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the working group showed great interest in the polyethylene products produced in the complex. Also, negotiations were held on further cooperation between the two countries with export-import companies, as well as on the creation of representative offices of Uzbek companies and joint ventures in Europe.
It is reported that the parties discussed the possibility of exporting products manufactured at the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex to the European market through the first exchange opened in Riga within the framework of a memorandum to be signed.
Also, it was noted that the launch of a new trading platform in Riga and an increase in the number of representative offices of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange abroad will ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the president of Uzbekistan on measures to continue the introduction of market mechanisms in the sale of highly liquid and monopoly goods, as well as supplies to European countries, in particular, oil products, ferrous metals, chemical products, electrical machinery and equipment, which will make a significant contribution to the stabilization of import prices for a number of food products that are in demand in Uzbekistan.
