TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 28. Uzbekistan has extended tax benefits for livestock farms for 2024, Trend reports.
According to data from Uzbekistan's National Data for Legislation, the tax rate on income, land, property, and water use will be 50 percent lower from January 1, 2024 until January 1, 2025.
State support is aimed at supplying meat, dairy, and egg products to the local market, expanding the feed base of livestock, poultry, and fisheries, and promoting private investment in the breeding industry.
Meanwhile, in August of 2023, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the development of animal husbandry. The relevant structures were instructed to create 25 livestock clusters, providing them with loans worth $60 million, and introduce subsidies for the import of animals.
Moreover, during the 2nd Turkic Agro Business Forum in Azerbaijan's Baku, Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov said that Uzbekistan is interested in attracting $50 billion of foreign investment in the agricultural sector of the country.
The minister noted that the textile industry, gardening, animal husbandry, seed production, and others are important and promising sectors in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan.
