TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 8. Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Karomidin Gadoev met with director for development of new and international markets of Malaysian company "Fraser & Neave Holdings BHD" (F&N) Patrick Heng to discuss cooperation matters, Trend reports.

The Malaysian side was presented information on the 'New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026', ongoing reforms to develop the national economy and ensure high growth rates, implemented measures to support private businesses, opportunities for foreign investors and guarantees of protection of their rights.

Meanwhile, F&N spoke of its activities, noting that the company is one of the largest in food production in Southeast Asia, and currently 13 branches of the company operate in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the role of Central Asian countries, especially Uzbekistan, is important in expanding the company's activities internationally.

The parties discussed the possibilities of implementing a joint investment project with participation of F&N company on the basis of the existing raw material base and specialization of regions in Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a trip of F&N representatives to Uzbekistan in January 2024 in order to familiarize with the opportunities created for foreign companies and discuss the prospects of implementing a joint project with potential partners.

The visiting diplomats also familiarized themselves with the activities of F&N company's production plant and the process of manufacturing.

Fraser & Neave Company was founded in Singapore in 1883. The main production facilities of the company are located in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Malacca, Seremban and Penang in Malaysia. The company specializes in food production, manufacturing 31 products that are exported to 93 countries around the world.
