TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 21. China’s Faw Trucks company will construct a plant for the manufacture of 10,000 trucks annually in Uzbekistan’s Andijan region, Trend reports.
The news followed a meeting between the company and the region’s administration.
The volume of investments for the project amounts to $100 million. Moreover, the construction is set to start in November this year.
After the meeting, the delegation of the Faw Trucks company was given a tour of the ongoing construction work in the Silk Road Free Economic Industrial Zone in Andijan. They were also briefed on the current progress of the NAWAS project, which involves the production of air purifiers and air conditioners.
Earlier, the FAW company launched the assembly of trucks in Uzbekistan’s Andijan region. The cost of the project, jointly with Uzbekistan’s domestic Vodiy Universal-Majmua car-selling company, was estimated at $15 million.
