Uzbekistan's electricity production grows

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 2. Uzbekistan produced 60.3 billion kWh of electricity from January through September 2024.

The data obtained by Trend from the country's statistics agency shows that the production volume has increased by 4.3 percent compared to the same period last year (57.8 billion kWh in January–September 2023).

At the same time, the country’s electricity production increased to 5.9 billion kWh in September 2024, compared to 11.6 billion kWh in August 2024.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 629.2 trillion soums ($49.1 billion) from January through September 2024. This figure has increased by 36.8 percent year-on-year (459.9 trillion soums, or $35.8 billion in January–September 2023).

In the structure of production, the largest weight fell on the enterprises of the manufacturing industry, the output of which amounted to 532.8 trillion soums ($41.5 billion).
