BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 23. Uzbekistan exported 165,200 tons of cabbage worth $44.5 million from January through October 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that the volume of exports increased by 102.9 percent compared to the same period last year (81,400 tons from January through October 2023).
Cabbage exports increased to 1,900 tons in October 2024 compared to 1,300 tons in September 2024.
To note, Uzbekistan exported 1.6 million tons of fruits and vegetables valued at $1.2 billion from January through October 2024. This figure increased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period last year (1.4 million tons from January through October 2023).
Exports of horticultural products accounted for 5.5 percent of Uzbekistan's total exports.
