TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 3. Uzbekistan exported beverages and tobacco worth $115 million from January through October 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that this figure increased by 15.2 percent compared to the same period last year ($99.8 million in January–October 2023).
The export of beverages amounts to $44.7 million from January through July 2024, down 20.5 percent from the previous year ($53.9 million in January–October 2023).
At the same time, the volume of tobacco exports reached $70.2 million during this period. This figure has increased by 70.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year ($46 million in January–October 2023).
To note, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $54.3 billion in the period from January through October 2024. This indicator grew by 6.7 percent year-on-year ($50.9 billion from January through October 2023).
Uzbekistan's exports reached $22.4 billion from January through October 2024, while imports amounted to $31.9 billion.
