TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 8. Uzbekistan's Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex, following directives from the leadership of Uzbekneftegaz (Uzbekistan's oil and gas company), met all output targets and planned operations with success, the company told Trend.
The complex processed 4.208 billion cubic meters of raw gas, achieving 108 percent of the plan. It also produced 3.553 billion cubic meters of purified natural gas (108 percent), 105,800 tons of gas condensate (119 percent), 126,200 tons of liquefied gas (119 percent), 1,321 tons of sulfur (165 percent), and 137,600 tons of polyethylene pellets (110 percent), exceeding production plans.
In 2024, Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex successfully completed key modernization projects, including the upgrade of production control blocks based on Honeywell’s network control system, finishing 17 days ahead of schedule.
The complex also modernized automatic control systems for nitrogen and air production installations and desalinated water systems. Additionally, the complex put into operation a 5.3 MW solar photovoltaic station to enhance energy efficiency and introduce energy-saving technologies.
