TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 3. At the Shurtan gas field, managed by Uzbekneftegaz (Uzbekistan's oil and gas company), new digitalization projects are being implemented to enhance natural gas production processes and ensure the stable operation of pipeline hydraulics, Trend reports.
According to Uzbekneftegaz, as part of the E-kon project, gas preparation units have been commissioned at gas collection points No. 6, 25, 28, and 30 at the Shurtan field. These installations will play a key role in improving operational efficiency.
In addition, to ensure continuous remote monitoring of technological parameters at these facilities and to provide accurate accounting of natural gas extracted from wells, work has been completed to establish data transmission to a newly created Production Control and Data Transfer Center. This center will process and manage the information.
The commissioning of the gas preparation units has successfully eliminated hydraulic resistance in the pipelines, ensuring the stable operation of the gas transportation system.
This project phase also aims to extract reservoir waters from the natural gas delivered to new compressor units. These units will be put into operation in the second phase of the project, which involves building small compressor stations at the gas collection points.
Meanwhile,Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex processed 4.208 billion cubic meters of raw gas, achieving 108 percent of the plan in 2024.
It also produced 3.553 billion cubic meters of purified natural gas (108 percent), 105,800 tons of gas condensate (119 percent), 126,200 tons of liquefied gas (119 percent), 1,321 tons of sulfur (165 percent), and 137,600 tons of polyethylene pellets (110 percent), exceeding production plans.
