BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. The production of phosphate concentrate from the Esfordi Phosphate Complex in the Bafq district of Iran's Yazd province increased by 59 percent in the first 3 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through June 21, 2023), the head of the production control department of Iran's Esfordi Phosphate Complex Hamid Rahimi said, Trend reports.
According to him, the complex produced more than 18,000 tons of phosphate concentrate during the mentioned period.
Rahimi stated that during the same period last year, the complex's phosphate concentrate production was about 11,500 tons.
Rahimi added that 109,000 tons of waste had been removed from the complex during 3 months. This figure is 105 percent more than the same period last year.
The official emphasized that it is expected to further increase the production of Esfordi Phosphate Complex in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025).
To note, Esfordi Phosphate Company is one of the complexes belonging to the Iranian Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and is located 34 kilometers away from the Bafq district of Yazd province.
