Non-oil exports of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 10. The export of non-oil products from Sistan and Baluchestan Province of Southeast Iran increased by 4 percent in value and 7 percent in weight during 3 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through June 21, 2023), controller of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan Province Mohammad Ali Khashi said, Trend reports.

According to him, a total of 463,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $63.9 million were exported through Sistan and Baluchestan during 3 months.

Khashi stated that mainly cement, hard coal, fruits, peas, tomatoes, persimmons, and other products were exported from the province during the 3 months. The products were mainly exported to Pakistan, China, Kuwait, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and India.

"A total of 322,000 tons of non-oil products worth $607 million from other provinces of Iran were exported through the customs of Sistan and Baluchestan Province during the 3 months. This is 2 percent less in value and 1 percent less in weight compared to the same period last year," he noted.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, Iran exported 38 million tons of non-oil products worth $13.5 billion in the first 3 months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 7.6 percent in value and 5.6 percent in weight compared to the same month of last year.
