BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 4. The production of Iran's Sirjan Jahan Steel Company increased by 33 percent during five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), the statement of Iran's Sirjan Jahan Steel Company said, Trend reports.
According to the information, the company produced 1.2 million (1,203,584) tons of products during the five months.
Furthermore, the company produced 616,000 (616,147) tons of sponge iron during the five months. Production of sponge iron increased by 39 percent compared to the same period last year.
However, the company produced 361,000 (361,495) tons of steel ingots during five months. Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 16 percent.
During the mentioned period, the company's rebar production amounted to about 195,000 (194,607) tons. The production of rebar at the company increased by 42 percent compared to the same period last year.
The company produced 31,300 (31,335) tons of briquettes during the five months. The production indicates an increase of 172 percent compared to the same period of last year.
To note, Iran's Sirjan Jahan Steel Company is located in Fars province in the south of the country. This company was founded in 2009. The company produces sponge iron, rebar, steel ingots, and other products.
