BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. The production of Iran's Persian Gulf Saba Steel Company in the first five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024) increased by 39 percent compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through August 22, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the company showed that the company produced 861,326 tons of products during the five months.
The company's exports of products amounted to 221,000 tons during the five months. This is 12.5 percent more than in the same period last year. In the same period last year, the company's production amounted to 197,000 tons.
The expansion of the company's exports has led to an uptick in sales, according to the announcement. However, the value was not disclosed.
To note, Persian Gulf Saba Steel Company operates in the Persian Gulf Mining and Metallurgy Special Zone in Hormozgan Province in the south of Iran. This company was founded in 2004. The company can produce 4.5 million tons of sponge iron and 4.5 million tons of slabs and billets per year.
