Iran reveals non-oil export volume via Mehran customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. A total of 1.15 million tons of non-oil products worth $637 million were exported through Iran's Mehran Customs of Ilam Province, located in the west of the country, during the five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2024), the Director General of the Customs Administration of Iran's Ilam Province Sohrab Kamari told reporters, Trend reports.

According to him, the products were mainly exported to Iraq and other countries through Mehran customs during the five months.

Kamari noted that the exported products are mainly petrochemicals, electrical equipment, construction materials, rubber, and agricultural products.

To note, Iran exported 60.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $21.9 billion during the five months. The exports of non-oil products increased by 10 percent in value and 7 percent in weight during the five months compared to the same period last year.
