Iran's Isfahan province decreases its non-oil exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. The export of non-oil products from Iran's Isfahan province decreased during six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024), Director General of Iran's Isfahan Province Customs Administration Rasoul Kuhestani told reporters, Trend reports.

He explained that this figure lowered by 22 percent in value and 24 percent in weight terms compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023).

The official pointed out that 903,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $609 million were exported from Isfahan province during six months this year.

Kuhestani pointed out that 507 types of products were exported from the province during the mentioned period. Mainly exported were petrochemical products worth $178 million, steel and iron products worth $138 million, milk and dairy products worth $68 million, carpets worth $41 million, and copper and copper products worth $40 million.

The official added that in six months, products worth $182 million were exported to Pakistan, $140 million to Iraq, $59 million to Afghanistan, $52 million to Türkiye and $41 million to the UAE.

To note, Iran imported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion during the six months, meaning growth of 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
