BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 2. The exports of non-oil products from Iran's Southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan increased by 2 percent in value and 4 percent in weight during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023), the customs controller of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province Mohammad Ali Khashi told reporters, Trend reports
According to him, a total of 894,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $136 million were exported from Sistan and Baluchestan province during the six months.
Khashi added that cement, heat-resistant hard coal, peas, fruits, and other agricultural products were mainly exported from Sistan and Baluchestan during the six months.
“During this period, the major exports from Sistan and Baluchestan were mainly non-oil products worth $106 million to Pakistan, $10 million to Afghanistan, and $3 million to India,” he said.
To note, Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion during the six months. The export of products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
