Iran reveals product volumes imported by Kerman Province customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. Spare parts for passenger cars, production plant equipment, electric vehicles and spare parts, truck spare parts, and more were mainly imported through the customs of Kerman Province, located in southeastern Iran, during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024), director general of the Kerman Provincial Customs Administration Mohammad Dolati told reporters, Trend reports.

According to him, 201,000 tons of products worth $1.9 billion were imported through Kerman Province customs during seven months.

Dolati noted that imported goods increased by 42 percent in value and 34 percent in weight during the seven months compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023).

The official added that the products are mainly imported from China, UAE, Germany, Oman, and Türkiye.

To note, Iran mainly focuses on importing the products needed by the country and imposes certain restrictions on the import of products manufactured in the country.
