BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. The sales of Iran's Hormozgan Steel Company increased by 9.3 percent during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023), the executive director of Iran's Hormozgan Steel Company Ataullah Maroufkhani told local media, Trend reports.
According to him, the sales of Iran's Hormozgan Steel Company amounted to 184 trillion rials (about $418 million) during seven months.
Maroufkhani noted that in the same period last year, the company's sales amounted to about 169 trillion rials (about $383 million).
The official noted that the company's domestic sales of products amounted to about 124 trillion rials (about $281 million) and exports of products amounted to 60.4 trillion rials (about $137 million) during the seven months.
He added that the company's slab production for seven months amounted to 712,000 tons, while the production of sponge iron amounted to 1.15 million tons.
To note, Hormozgan Steel Company was founded in 2006. The company can produce 1.5 million tons of slab, 1.65 million tons of sponge iron, 90,000 tons of lime, and so on per year.
