National Iranian Copper Industries Company's mining output grows

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. The mining output of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company increased by 10 percent during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023)

The data obtained by Trend from the country's national company shows that the National Iranian Copper Industries Company extracted 174 million tons of mining minerals during seven months.

Moreover, the National Iranian Copper Industries Company also extracted 33.6 million tons of sulfur stone during seven months. This is 3 percent more than the same period last year.

The National Iranian Copper Industries Company announced that the country's copper reserves amount to 19 billion tons. Sarcheshmeh and Sungun are considered Iran's main copper mines.

To note, the National Iranian Copper Industries Company has set a target to increase the production of copper and copper products during the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025).
