Iran reveals non-oil product export volume through Mehran customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. A total of 1.86 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.05 billion were exported through Mehran Customs of Ilam Province, located in western Iran, during the eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024), Sohrab Kamari, Director General of Ilam Province's Customs Administration told local media, Trend reports.

According to him, the products were mainly exported to Iraq and other countries through Mehran Customs during the eight months.

Kamari added that the exported products are mainly petrochemicals, electrical equipment, construction materials, rubber, and agricultural products.

The official noted that 3.22 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.81 billion were exported to Iraq and other countries through Mehran Customs last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).

To note, the distance from Mehran Customs in Iran's Ilam Province to Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, is 230 kilometers. Every day, an average of 600 trucks pass through this customs station.
