BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 3. The passenger car production of Iranian automaker Parskhodro decreased by 7.5 percent during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023), the report of Codal, a company operating under Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization (codal.ir) said, Trend reports.
According to the report, Iran's Parskhodro Automobile Company produced 68,043 passenger cars during the eight months. However, during the same period last year, the company's passenger car production totaled 73,572 units.
The report notes that the sales of passenger cars by the automobile manufacturer Parskhodro amounted to 63,467 units during the period mentioned. This is 96 percent less than in the same period last year. The company sold 71,388 units of passenger cars during the same period last year.
The report shows that the company produced 43,682 passenger cars of the Q-200 model, 12,676 Saina S cars, 10,451 Sahand cars, and 1,234 Quick cars during the eight months.
To note, during the past eight months, Iran's leading trio of state-owned automobile manufacturers rolled out a total of 621,497 passenger cars. The production of passenger cars took a bit of a nosedive, dropping by 4 percent when stacked up against the same time last year. However, during the same stretch last year, Iran's state-run car manufacturers rolled out 647,979 passenger vehicles.
