Iran's investment funds see notable asset appreciation

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 16. The value of assets held by investment funds operating in Iran's capital market increased by 27 percent at the end of the eighth month of the current Iranian year (November 20, 2024) compared to the beginning of the same month of the current year (March 20, 2024), the Iranian Stock Exchange and Securities Organization said, Trend reports.

According to the statistics, the value of these assets increased from 9.57 quadrillion rials (about $1.83 billion) to 12.2 quadrillion rials (about $2.32 billion) by the end of the eighth month.

The share of investment funds in Iran's securities sector accounted for 64.1 percent, with funds focused on commodities making up 6.6 percent and market maker funds contributing 19.1 percent.

Moreover, 154 investment funds reported stable returns by the end of the eighth month.

To note, 490 investment funds are currently operating in Iran.
