Iran’s Qom Province sees surge in non-oil exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 25. Iran's Qom province, located in the central part of the country, exported non-oil products worth around $177 million, totaling around 183,000 tons, during the 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025), Director General of the Customs Administration of Iran's Qom Province, Esfandiar Darikvandi told reporters, Trend reports.

Darikvandi mentioned that the province had exported non-oil goods to over 30 countries, mostly neighboring ones, during the mentioned period.

The exported products included chemicals, healthcare items, food products, and household goods.

The official highlighted that, in recent years, investments have been made in the industrial sector of Qom, which has contributed to the increase in both production and exports from the region.

As many as seven industrial parks operate in the Iranian Qom province. The industrial parks employ more than 57,000 people in about 2,000 industrial enterprises.
