BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. Iran’s Arvand Oil and Gas Company is taking several steps to increase its oil production, said Abdullah Azari-Ahwazi, Executive Director of the Company, Trend reports.
At the third PetroTech Conference in Tehran, Ahwazi pointed out that a gas pressure center has been set up at the Darkhovin oil field, where they’re pumping in about 250 to 270 million cubic feet (roughly 7.08–7.64 million cubic meters) of gas each day.
The output rate from this field is roughly 26 percent. In the
Azadegan oil field, the gas pressure center is situated at a
significant distance, leading to a diminished production rate. This
underscores the significance of pumping gas into reservoirs to
augment production.
Ahwazi further stated that approximately 30 wellhead pumps will be
installed in the North Azadegan oil field as part of the company's
production initiatives.
Additionally, he indicated that the business intends to
construct a preliminary processing facility at the Arvand oil field
with an investment of $80 million. The company is partnering with
Iran's Presidential Department of Science and Technology to invest
$50 million in the development of value-added products.
The executive director emphasized that initiatives are in progress
to secure an investor for the development of solar power plants,
with a prospective capacity of 15 to 20 megawatts, on the western
bank of the Karun River.
The third Petrotech Conference kicked off today in Tehran and is set to run for two days. It's anticipated that the event will see the ink dry on six contracts for the production of essential equipment for the oil sector, along with the unveiling of nine new products.
Arvandan Oil and Gas Company functions within the framework of the National Oil Company of Iran. At present, the operational capacity for crude oil extraction at Arvandan Oil and Gas Company stands at an impressive 400,000 barrels per day. The enterprise possesses the capacity to generate 7.64 million cubic meters (270 million cubic feet) of gas on a daily basis.
