BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 1. Car production at Iran’s Iran Khodro Automotive Manufacturing Company saw a decline of 1.4 percent, equivalent to a reduction of 6,900 units in the 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025) compared to the same period last year, Trend reports citing a report published by the Iranian Securities and Exchange Organization (codal.ir.)
Iran Khodro produced over 485,000 cars during this period. Data shows that this figure was lower than the 492,000 cars produced in the same period of the previous year.
The production included 154,000 "Peugeot" vehicles, 116,000 "Soren" cars, 83,200 "Dena" vehicles, 15,800 "Runna" cars, 64,200 "Tara" vehicles, 14,800 "Haima" cars, and 29,100 other types of cars.
Iran's three major automobile manufacturers (Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Parskhodro) have produced a total of 896,000 passenger cars during 11 months of the current Iranian year. This represents a 1.1 percent decrease in car production compared to the same period last year.
