BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. Iran Khodro Automobile Manufacturing Company (branded as IKCO) plans to increase its production to reach a target of 640,000 vehicles in the upcoming Iranian year (from March 21, 2025, through March 20, 2026), the company's CEO Adel Pirmohammadi told reporters, Trend reports.
Pirmohammadi mentioned that the company produced 540,000 vehicles during the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025).
He further articulated that in the preceding month, the
organization had produced approximately 60,000 units, establishing
a novel benchmark for the previous ten years.
In a span of 11 months, the trio of dominant automotive
manufacturers in Iran—namely Irankhodro, Saipa, and
Parskhodro—achieved a production output exceeding 896,000 units of
passenger vehicles. There was a contraction of 1.1 percent in the
output of passenger vehicles relative to the corresponding
timeframe of the previous fiscal year.
