BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. Iran Khodro Automobile Company's (IKCO) production of passenger cars has increased by 25 percent in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from a report published by Codal.ir, a comprehensive database under Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization, shows that the company produced 29,107 passenger cars during the first month of the year. This is a significant rise from the 23,315 cars produced in the same period last year.
The report also reveals that during this period, the company manufactured 9,140 units of "Peugeot," 7,830 units of "Soren," 5,350 units of "Dena," 4,670 units of "Tara," 1,400 units of "Haima," and 717 units of other passenger cars.
Additionally, the company sold around 25,160 passenger cars in the first month.
A report published by Codal.ir shows that, Iran’s three main automakers — Iran Khodro (IKCO), SAIPA, and Pars Khodro — produced a combined total of 46,703 passenger vehicles during the period. This marks a small rise from the 45,916 units produced during the same month last year.
