BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. Iran is intensifying efforts to boost gas production at the South Pars gas field (energy asset with Qatar known as North Dome in Qatar), Shobeyr Nabavi, a representative of Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company, told reporters, Trend reports.
Nabavi noted that production began yesterday from the second infill well named SPD1-10 in the first phase of the field, and production from a third well is expected to start soon.
Shobeyr Nabavi, spokesperson for Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company, told local media that production commenced recently from the second infill well, SPD1-10, within the first phase of the project, with a third well expected to come online shortly.
Nabavi emphasized that each new well in this phase is projected to add a minimum of 1.8 million cubic meters of daily gas output, reflecting a targeted incremental expansion strategy. The first phase plans include drilling a total of five wells.
Iran plans to drill 35 additional wells across 17 platforms at South Pars, which is anticipated to increase the field’s production capacity by 36 million cubic meters daily, reinforcing Iran’s position in the regional energy market and supporting long-term export potential.

Onun sözlərinə görə, qeyd olunan yatağın 1-ci fazasının SPD1-10 adlı 2-ci yataqdaxili quyusunda (infill) ötən gün (8 iyun) hasilata başlanıb və tezliklə 3-cü quyudan da hasilatın başlanması nəzərdə tutulur.
Nəbəvi deyib ki, sözügedən fazada hər bir quyunun istismara verilməsi ilə gündəlik hasilata minimum 1,8 milyon kubmetr qazın əlavə olunması nəzərdə tutulur. Ümumilikdə 1-ci fazada 5 quyunun qazılması
Qeyd edək ki, İranın Cənubi Pars qaz yatağında ümumilikdə 17 platformada yeni 35 quyunun qazılması nəzərdə tutulur. Bu quyuların istismara verilməsi ilə Cənubi Pars qaz yatağından hasilat potensialının 36 milyon kubmetr artacağı gözlənilir.
