BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. Iran's non-oil exports to Azerbaijan dropped by 21.7 percent in value and 4.8 percent in weight in the first 2 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from the Iranian Customs Administration indicates that Iran exported non-oil goods worth approximately $85.9 million and weighing around 137,000 tons during this period.
The statistics show that during the same period last year, Iran exported around 144,000 tons of non-oil products to Azerbaijan, valued at approximately $110 million.
The main categories of these exports included agricultural and food products, industrial goods, and petrochemical and chemical products.
According to the data, Iran’s total trade turnover with Azerbaijan for the first two months reached about 138,000 tons, valued at $87.6 million. This represents a decrease of 21.7 percent in value and 5 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
The overall Iranian non-oil exports for the period from March to May of the current year totaled $8.24 billion and 24.6 million tons. This shows a slight decrease of 0.11 percent in value, though there was a 4.4 percent increase in weight compared to the same period last year.
